NGONDRO & LUJIN
Module 2 covers three important major areas of Chod practice:
1. The Feasts: The sixteen major feasts, and their MEANING will be discussed in detail. There can be used in any Chod ritual whatsoever, from any lineage or style.
2. The Ngondro of Chod: From the Shukseb Chod tradition, comes a wonderful Preliminary Practice, which contains the usual sequences of Ngondro, but with a unique orientation to Chod. For example instead of Vajrasattva purification, we have a karmic cleansing utilizing the form of MaChik and the gaté mantra, and so on. Read more here…
3. The Lujin: Daily Chod practice of the Kagyu: While there are now several books that have translations and commentary on this practice, you will learn this medium length sadhana from a different perspective, and as a Ngondro in itself.

THE HEALING RITUALS
One of the most unique benefits of Chod is its focus on the healing process. As an adjunct to natural and holistic treatments, as well as mainstream medicine, it is second to none. This is because it addresses all the deep-level spiritual causes of physical and mental disease and suffering that are almost wholly ignored by contemporary health care systems.
While all Chod practices have healing benefits, the MaChik tradition has four main, and several ancillary healing rituals, each with their own unique approach to healing our deepest selves. Read more here…
Module 5 is open to all qualified practitioners. The four core practices we will learn are the healing rituals used universally by Chodpas of all lineages: Kagyu, Nyingtik, Dudjom, Do Khyentse, etc. They are addendum that are added on to any Chod feast or daily practice. An ideal method of healing others, these methods are also excellent for one’s own practice or retreat. Cutting to the roots of illness, these practices address a broad spectrum of disease causation: karma, demonic influences, elemental imbalance and so on.
Prerequisite for taking this training is Module 1, or long term involvement in any Chod lineage (Kagyu, Nyingma, Gelugpa, Bon), to be individually assessed on application to the school. We will use a brief daily Chod (PeGyal Lingpa’s Concise Chod or Kusali Tsok of Jigmé Lingpa as the “envelope” for learning these rituals. In time the first accurate translation of these texts will be available as a hard bound book. For more information on Module 5….see here.

The module will be taught by Lama Jinpa and a master of this practice as transmitted directly from the tradition of MaChik (the Dharma Senge tradition).
